Manchester United have confirmed defender Lenny Yoro has had successful surgery on a foot injury.
The 18-year-old summer signing is still expected to be sidelined until October after sustaining the injury in United’s pre-season game against Arsenal in Los Angeles.
Yoro is expected to miss nine Premier League games, including matches against Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa, and the start of United’s Europa League and Carabao Cup campaigns.
A statement from United said: “Yoro’s rehabilitation starts now and we look forward to the 18-year-old returning to fitness in around three months.”
