Who is Southern Miss’ best player in EA College Football 25? See the top-rated Golden Eagles

HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss football is rated as a 76 overall in EA College Football 25.

The highly anticipated video game released to the public on Monday after 11 years of waiting. The Golden Eagles offense is tabbed as a 71 overall and the defense earned a 72.

Southern Miss’ 76 overall is tied for fifth in the Sun Belt Conference. Texas State, Appalachian State, Arkansas State and Louisiana round out the top four teams in the conference, respectively. The ratings are EA’s way of measuring the skill level of each player and team in the game. Ninety-six was the highest individual rating EA assessed while Georgia is the highest team at 95. EA said it will change the ratings based on performance during the season.

Of note, Ethan Crawford, who is battling for the starting quarterback job, is not in the game. Players who opted in were paid $600 and received a free copy of the video game.

Last February, we predicted four people who could be Southern Miss’ top-rated player, and we were incorrect. Dreke Clark, who replaces Frank Gore Jr. as the Golden Eagles’ starting running back, tops the roster with an 81 rating. Here are the top three players at each position:
