The 2024 high school football season is quickly approaching, and The Oklahoman has unveiled its Super 30 series.
The Super 30 list features the top senior recruits in Oklahoma. But the state is also full of under-the-radar prospects who could make some serious noise this season.
Meet Oklahoma’s rising star seniors just outside the Super 30.
Jax Bernard, QB, Fairview
Bernard has led Class A Fairview to two consecutive undefeated seasons. This past season, he completed 67% of his passes for 3,385 yards and 47 touchdowns and ran for 866 yards and 17 scores on 98 carries.
Behr Boyd, LB, Norman
A linebacker with great speed, Boyd was all over the field for the Tigers last year. He finished with 118 total tackles, including 12 for loss.
Cameron Carter, LB/RB, Millwood
Carter spearheaded the Falcons efforts on defense to help guide Millwood back to the Class 2A state finals for the second consecutive season. He led the team with 55 tackles in addition to three forced fumbles, three interceptions and two touchdowns while being named to The Oklahoman’s Little All-City first team.
Kale Charboneau, QB/LB, Wagoner
A standout on both sides of the football, he helped Wagoner win the Class 4A state title as a sophomore and finish as the runner-up last year. Charboneau’s junior season included a 65.7% completion percentage with 2,834 yards and 22 touchdowns, 976 rushing yards and 16 scores, 114 tackles (39 for loss) and four interceptions.
Miguel Chavez, OL, Muskogee
Chavez recently announced his commitment to UNLV. He helped Muskogee win the Class 6A-II state title last season.
Ashton Cunningham, DB, Tulsa Union
Cunningham is a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports, who committed to Boston College last month after receiving over a dozen scholarship offers. He’s also an electric track star, shattering multiple school records in the 100-meter dash and running a 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds.
Caden Davis, DL, Carl Albert
Davis was one of the most electric defensive players in the state as a junior, recording 185 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and four forced fumbles. He was named to The Oklahoman’s All-State first team after his breakout junior season, resulting in Carl Albert’s second consecutive Class 5A state title.
Owen Eshelman, QB, Norman North
Norman North often has talented quarterbacks, and Eshelman is the Timberwolves’ latest star signal caller. He announced his commitment to two-time FCS defending champion South Dakota State on June 4. As a junior, Eshelman threw for 2,279 yards and 24 touchdowns and ran for 568 yards and seven scores.
Mykel Ford, DB, Putnam City
Ford moved for his senior year to Putnam City. He’s a dynamic weapon joining an already loaded secondary. A year ago, he led Putnam West in pass breakups and defensive touchdowns. Ford committed to Nevada on Wednesday.

Seth Freeman, LS, Moore
Freeman is the nation’s top-ranked long snapper in the 2025 class, according to Kohl’s Professional Football Kicking Camps. He is committed to OU as a preferred walk-on.
Quaylin Goodman, OL/DL, Del City
He’s expected to have a big role for the Eagles after being named to the first team of District 5A-3 last season.
Gracen Gruver, OL/DL, Moore
A starter on both sides of the football for Moore, Gruver announced his commitment to Air Force on June 25.
Hudson Howard, RB, Washington
He’s a workhorse for Washington, which has won two straight Class 2A state championships and gone undefeated both years. As a junior, Howard had 174 carries for 1,605 yards and 26 touchdowns.
Rashaud Hurt, RB, Lawton Eisenhower
Hurt was considered one of the best running back in his class prior to missing his entire junior season with an ACL tear in his right knee. Since his return from injury, he’s picked back up where he left off, showing off his explosiveness in camps throughout the summer. Hurt has picked up offers from Missouri, North Texas and Tulsa and projects to gather more by the season’s end.
Cash Jacobsen, OL/DL, Jenks
A three-star recruit according to 247Sports, Jacobsen announced his commitment to South Dakota State on June 11. Along with the Jackrabbits, he held offers from the three military academies, Cornell, Illinois State and Yale, among others.
Lucas Jones, WR, Yukon
Jones had a breakout junior season as a junior, resulting in one of the most productive seasons by receiver in Class 6A-I. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior caught 82 passes for 1,107 and nine touchdowns.

Brady McAdoo, RB/WR/DB, Tuttle
McAdoo is a spark plug and does a little bit of everything for the Tigers, from punting to returning and serving as a key player on offense and defense.
Malikai Miller, QB, Moore
He’s an electric athlete for the Lions and is starting to receive interest from colleges. He holds an offer from Army.
Daniel Newton, QB, Carl Albert
