Bruno Surace made his presence felt in the boxing world Saturday when he defied the odds and knocked out Jaime Munguia in Round 6.
The 10-round super middleweight boxing bout took place as part of a Top Rank and Zanfer event at Estadio Caliente in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.
There were no ifs, ands or buts about who the winner was. Surace took the judges out of the equation with a massive overhand right that floored Munguia onto his back.
Munguia struggled to rise to his feet. While he appeared to stand up at the count of 9, a stumble in the wrong direction caused the referee to wave off the fight.
So just how big of an upset was the result? Draft Kings had Surace as a +1200 underdog and Munguia as a -2500 favorite.
