UFC on ABC 7 marked a rare non-PPV event for the company at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, but the main event produced a winner that might be headlining numbered cards down the line.

[autotag]Umar Nurmagomedov[/autotag] (18-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) got his breakthrough win in the bantamweight division in Saturday’s headliner when he scored a unanimous decision victory over perennial contender [autotag]Cory Sandhagen[/autotag] (17-5 MMA, 10-4 UFC).

Magomedov (14-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) has earned two of his three UFC victories by decision.

Oleksiejczuk (19-9 MMA, 7-7 UFC) fell to 3-4 since he dropped to the UFC middleweight division in August 2022.

Oleksiejczuk’s three-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since August 2023.

Deiveson Figueiredo def. Marlon Vera

[autotag]Deiveson Figueiredo[/autotag] (24-3-1 MMA, 13-3-1 UFC) improved to 3-0 since he moved up to the UFC bantamweight division in December 2023.

[autotag]Marlon Vera[/autotag] (21-10-1 MMA, 15-9 UFC) has suffered all 10 of his career losses by decision.

Vera was knocked down for the first time in his 24-fight UFC career.

Michael Chiesa def. Tony Ferguson
