Tiger Woods did not get off to the greatest start on Thursday, finishing the first round of the Open Championship at 8 over, tied for 138th-place. That’s 14 shots off the leader, Daniel Brown.
Woods is likely not aiming to reach Brown today, though. He’s likely just hoping to hit a few more fairways, reach a few more greens in regulation, and tap home a few easy putts.
It makes sense that Woods would struggle during his first round at Royal Troon. After all, it’s been twenty years since Woods last played a professional round here. He tied for ninth place back then. He’s a long ways off that pace right now.
Here is Woods’ scorecard for the latest round of the 2024 Open Championship.
