Tammy Abraham has officially landed in Istanbul, ready to begin a new chapter of his career with Besiktas.
Welcomed by a large and passionate crowd of Turkish supporters at the airport, the English striker shared his excitement as he prepares to join the iconic Turkish club on a permanent deal from Roma.
“It was a long journey, but it was worth it. I’m truly happy and excited to be here,” Abraham told the club’s official website.
“I had been to Turkey before, but never to Istanbul — it’s a stunning city, the country is extraordinary. I used to watch (Besiktas) on TV all the time, now I have the honor of wearing the shirt.”
Adding, “It’s a dream come true, I’m very proud.”
