Aug. 1—The Indiana Junior Golf Association finished off their summer slate with their Tour Championship at Woodland Trails in Yorktown on Tuesday.
The event featured the top combined points earners from all of the Indiana Junior Golf Association events during the summer.
Six locals made the cut for the tournament and had solid finishes.
The top finish came from Killian Laughlin in the Boys 13-15 Age Group. Laughlin tied for fourth with a 77, carding a birdie, 11 pars and six bogeys.
Alex Koch was tied for 19th in the age group with an 82. He had 10 bogeys and eight pars. Robert Rhoades placed 29th in the age group, shooting an 88.
Rhoades finished with a birdie, three pars, 11 bogeys and a double.
In the Girls 16-19 Age Group, Lauren Thomas tied for 10th with an 85.
Thomas had a birdie, seven pars, six bogeys and a double in her round.
In the Girls 13-15 Age Group, Olivia Patton was 11th and a 91.
She had six pars, six bogeys and and five doubles.
McKenna Hanlon tied for 15th with a 102.
She carded four pars, three bogeys and seven doubles.
The Indiana Junior Golf Tour is now done for the summer, but will feature some boys events in the fall as the girls high school season is going on.
The first event will be Sept. 7-8 at Coyote Crossing in Kokomo.
