Scottie Scheffler heads into the 2024 Paris Olympics as one of the most dominant players on the PGA Tour — and looking to add to what is already an impressive list of professional accomplishments.
While Scheffler is a 12-time PGA Tour winner, two-time Masters winner (in 2022 and 2024) and a member of the 2021 Ryder Cup-winning team, he is now setting his eyes on a new prize at Le Golf National in Guyancourt, France: a gold medal.

Whether Scheffler can win gold in his Olympic debut remains to be seen. That said, he brings an impressive list of credentials to competition in Paris, including the No. 1 ranking according to the Official World Golf Ranking and the most points in the regular season FedEx Cup standings.
Scheffler showed no rookie fatigue in his first Olympic competition in Paris, shooting 4-under par to finish Round 1 in a tie for sixth place at the time he finished his round.

Scheffler teed off at 3:11 a.m. CT on Thursday in the first round and will tee off at 5:06 a.m. CT in the second round at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He will be paired with Rory McIlroy (Ireland) and Ludvig Aberg (Sweden).
What did Scottie Scheffler score today?
Scheffler shot a 4-under par 67 in Round 1 to finish tied for sixth at the time he completed his round. He logged a bogey-free day, adding three birdies on the front nine on Holes 1, 3 and 9. He added a fourth birdie on Hole 17.
