With medal aspirations on the horizon, Scottie Scheffler has some work to do in Saturday’s Round 3 at Le Golf National if he wants to gain some ground and get near the medal podium.
Scheffler enters Saturday’s round of competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics tied for 10th place on the leaderboard at 6-under par after shooting 2-under par in Friday’s second round.

The World No. 1 golfer battled some adversity in Saturday’s second round, particularly on Hole 7 where he recorded a double-bogey on the Par 4 hole after hitting his tee shot wide into the thick rough at Le Golf National. That was then followed by a shot that got stuck in the rough as it only went about 14 feet in front of him. He finished Friday’s round with a strong Back 9, where he was able to build off two birdies to start the last nine as he shot 4-under in the Back 9 alone.
He enters Saturday’s round five strokes back from the lead, which is currently held in a three-way tie between his Team USA teammate Xander Schauffele, Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama and Great Britain’s Tommy Fleetwood.
