Plymouth Argyle have signed Icelandic international Victor Palsson on an undisclosed contract.
The 33-year-old central defender joins from Belgium side KAS Eupen where he made 36 appearances last season, scoring two goals.
He reunites with boss Wayne Rooney, who was Palsson’s coach during his time with MLS side DC United.
“I am really pleased we have managed to bring Victor to Argyle,” Rooney told the club’s website.
“He is someone I know well having worked together at DC United, and he brings extensive experience to the squad.
“Alongside that, he knows the system we are looking to implement, is good on the ball and will form an integral part of the squad moving forward. I’m looking forward to working with him again as the season approaches.”
Plymouth start their Championship season on 11 August when they travel to Sheffield Wednesday.
