NORMAN — OU football still doesn’t have clarity on what its SEC schedule will look like in 2027, but the Sooners have added another nonconference opponent.
OU has a contract to host Utah State on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2027, according to the copy of the contract obtained by FBSchedules.com from Utah State University via a state public records request.
If the SEC moves to a nine-game conference schedule, the game against the Aggies will complete the Sooners’ schedule. OU is slated to visit SMU on Sept. 11, 2027, and host San Diego State on Sept. 18, 2027.
OU will pay Utah State a $1.5 million guarantee.
This season, the Sooners’ nonconference opponents are Temple (Aug. 30), Houston (Sept. 7), Tulane (Sept. 14) and Maine (Nov. 2).
