Michigan State football will start the year without a single vote in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll.
The official preseason coaches poll powered by USA TODAY Sports was released on Monday, and to no surprise, the Spartans didn’t receive a vote in the poll. Michigan State is coming off a 4-8 season last year and was recently picked by the media to finish near the bottom of the Big Ten.
From the Big Ten, there were six teams that cracked the top 25: Ohio State (No. 2), Oregon (No. 3), Michigan (No. 8), Penn State (No. 9), USC (No. 23) and Iowa (No. 25).
