Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Troyes.
The 20-year-old joined the Ligue 2 club in the summer of 2022 but never made a appearance, instead spending a season each on loan at PSV and Girona.
It was with Girona last season that Savinho – also known as Sávio – broke through, scoring 11 times in 41 appearances, and helping his side to an unlikely third place LaLiga finish and qualification for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
With both Troyes and Girona part of the City Football Group, it was always likely that the winger would make the move to Manchester at some point if things went to plan, and now he has, signing a X-year contract with the Premier League champions.
Sávio becomes Pep Guardiola’s first signing of the summer but is unlikely to be in action for several weeks due to his participation in the Copa América.
