One of the top wide receivers in the 2025 recruiting class has just announced that he is de-committing from Michigan. This wide receiver is a huge target for [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and his coaching staff.
[autotag]Phillip Wright[/autotag] was one of the top recruits on the Tigers board for 2025 but Wright committed to Michigan on July 13. Now, he has changed his mind, possibly in favor of staying closer to home. Wright has now received a crystal ball projection to commit to LSU.
The Tigers have now become a 95% favorite to land him per On3. If Wright commits to LSU, he will join [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag] as they attempt to take the LSU offense to new heights. LSU’s 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked as the No. 5 class in the country according to 247Sports and is headlined by three five-star recruits.
If Kelly wants to continue to “Recruit the Boot” well, this would help that case.
I’m told Destrehan (La.) WR Phillip Wright has decommitted from #Michigan. Could tell the young man was going back and forth when he was here. In the end, sounds like he just wants to stay closer to home, i.e. LSU.
