Jul. 25—BURNSIDE — Local female golfers kicked off their 2024 high school golf season with The Island Warrior Invitational at Burnside Island Golf Course on Tuesday.
Southwestern’s Ansley Mounce led the way for the Lady Warriors with an 18-hole score of 93. Also for Southwestern, Kelbie Trautman shot a 123, Ary Lamoree shot a 134, and Abby Strunk carded a round of 131.
Somerset’s Kamryn Cooper fired a 92 and Avery Branscum shot 133.
Both Southwestern’s Ansley Mounce and Somerset’s Kamryn Cooper placed in the top 10, individually.
For Pulaski County, Madeline Butcher shot a round of 100, Reese Hamilton fired a 164, Caroline Heist carded a 144, and Ann Cross shot a 166.
For Somerset Christian, Emma Jane Phillips shot an 18-hole round of 107.
