Lewis Richardson eager to fight again soon after winning pro debut

Richardson recently signed to Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions and has set the goal of winning a world title.

“They were really happy with the performance and the way I conducted myself throughout fight week. We got a lot of positive feedback from the promoters, but also media outlets, which is fantastic,” he said.

“We’ve got a meeting in the next few days to hopefully get another fight date booked in. I’d hope to have an announcement in the next couple of weeks.”

Richardson insisted that he had not been distracted by rain which came down during the evening in Ipswich.

“Some of the boxers got soaked walking to the ring but luck was on my side because I was to remain dry,” he added.

“There were a couple of little spells when I was actually boxing that a few of the fans might have got a little bit wet, but one thing we can’t control in the UK is the weather. It definitely didn’t dampen my mood.”
