We asked for your views on Everton signing winger Jesper Lindstrom from Napoli on an initial loan deal.

Steve: Firstly, I am pleased we get him for a year without shelling out a big transfer fee. Sounds like he has a good deal of potential and, given he didn’t start many games for Napoli, in a successful season for them, he will be hungry to show what he can do. A good bit of business for Everton.
Jeff: This player has been brought in by the same people that are responsible for wasting over £500m on worthless players in the past seven years, so forgive me for not jumping for joy. At least one positive thing is that this is a loan deal with an option to buy.
Greg: Still young and hopefully hungry. Had a poor season so let’s hope the love he will get from the fans will turn his career. If it doesn’t work out, we send him back. It’s a no brainer. At least the club appear to be making sensible decisions at long last.
Derek: Looks like a good signing especially with the option to buy after one season at Everton. Look forward to see how he changes attacking options.
Tim: Played well at Frankfurt and ultimately left for a hefty price tag to Napoli. Happy to have him in but we are still a defender and midfielder short. I fear that we are one centre-back injury away from a bad start to the season.
Duncan: We’ve been short of depth in wide positions for years, so it’s good to get people in and with our finances being what they are a loan with an option to buy is very sensible indeed.
