From her swing to her academics, Chicago-area golfer Keira Brazeau represents a strong addition to the Indiana State program, according to coach Greg Towne.
“We are really looking forward to Keira joining us next fall,” said head coach Greg Towne. “Lots of athleticism, excellent swing, great student, and an even better attitude.”
Towne announced Keira Brazeau’s signing with the ISU program Thursday, according the university’s sports information department.
Brazeau hails from Buffalo Grove just outside of Chicago. She’s a three-time Illinois High School Association individual state qualifier and a four-time all-conference athlete.
Brazeau has finished in the top five in her last seven-of-eight tournaments she completed dating from August into May, including tying for seventh in the 2024 Medinah Country Club Shriners Junior Open, the ISU news release stated.
She tied for fourth place in the 2024 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Circle K Junior Championship. In both 2023 and 2024 she finished in the top 15 in the Hurricane Tour National Championship, following up being Illinois Player of the Year Junior Golf Association Runner Up in 2022 and 2023.
The signee is an AJGA Rolex Scholastic Honor Roll recipient and a volunteer coach at Old Orchard CC Junior Camps.
ISU finished seventh in the Missouri Valley Conference standings last season.
