New Ipswich Town goalkeeper Arijanet Muric says it is the “perfect move” for him to come to Portman Road.
The 25-year-old has joined the Tractor Boys on a four-year deal from Burnley for a fee believed to be worth up to £15m.
The Swiss-born Kosovo international made 55 appearances for the Clarets during his two seasons at the club, helping them win promotion in 2022-23, before featuring 10 times last term as they were relegated from the Premier League.
Muric will be joining Kieran McKenna’s side as they return to the top flight for the first time since 2002 following their runners-up finish in Championship.
“I’m excited to have joined the club and am looking forward to getting started,” the Manchester City academy graduate told TownTV.
“I watched how the team played last season and feel the style will suit me very well, so this is the perfect move for me.”
Muric is Ipswich‘s fifth signing of the summer, following Omari Hutchinson, Liam Delap, Ben Johnson and Jacob Greaves’ moves to Portman Road.
The Tractor Boys start their league campaign at home to Liverpool on 17 August.
