Good morning from Newcastle‘s training camp in Germany – where manager Eddie Howe is expected to address the speculation about his future in an interview this afternoon.

He has been strongly linked to the vacant England manager’s job but Newcastle’s CEO Darren Eales told us earlier this week they want Howe to stay and will fight to keep him if the Football Association make an approach.

Today, we will hear from Howe directly, in what will be his first public comments in almost two months since United’s post-season trip to Australia in May.

England will be top of the agenda, but there are many important Newcastle United questions to ask, too – PSR, transfers, the new sporting director, and changes to the club’s ownership structure will also be among the topics covered.

Newcastle have spent the week training at the Adidas global headquarters in the town of Herzogenaurach, not far from the city of Nuremberg in south-east Germany.

They were invited to use the facility after Adidas returned as the club’s kit manufacturer earlier this summer.

In addition to our chat with Howe, we will also be interviewing some of the Magpies’ players this afternoon.

There will be regular updates on this page – and further coverage on Total Sport on BBC Radio Newcastle from 18:00 BST.
