Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium will be a unique college football venue in 2024.
Memphis football will play its home games at a stadium that is actively undergoing construction. Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium will have a capacity of around 30,000, significantly down from the 50,000 plus it’ll be at when renovations are completed before the 2026 season.
While the Tigers are entering probably their most anticipated season ever, they’ll have to do their most important work on the road — Memphis plays UTSA, Tulane and South Florida, who were picked to finish 2-4 in the American Athletic Conference, away from Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
The home schedule looks easier, at least on paper. The Tigers will host seven games in 2024, including nonconference home games against North Alabama, Troy and Middle Tennessee State.
Memphis football tickets, best prices
Tickets start at $20 for Memphis’ season opener against North Alabama on Aug. 31. They start at $22 for the Tigers’ Senior Day game against UAB on Nov. 16.
