How Knicks’ Karl-Anthony Towns, Jalen Brunson fared in 2025 NBA All-Star Game

How much did Knicks All-Stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson play Sunday in the game’s new format?

With Towns on Charles Barkley‘s Global Stars and Brunson a member of Kenny Smith‘s Young Stars, New York’s two standouts logged varying minutes while facing each other in San Francisco at the Golden State Warriors’ Chase Center.

In Game 1, Towns and the Global Stars got the best of the Brunson-led Young Stars, winning 41-32 after reaching the 40-point target score.

Towns started alongside the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous Alexander, Cleveland Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell, Indiana Pacers’ Pascal Siakam and Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic while scoring six points on two triples in six minutes.

Brunson — starting with the Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro, Thunder’s Jalen Williams, Memphis Grizzlies’ Jaren Jackson Jr. and Cavaliers’ Evan Mobley — scored three points on 1-of-5 shooting, featuring a 1-for-4 mark from deep, and dished three assists in eight minutes.

Towns added eight points on 4-of-7 shooting in 10 minutes of his team’s second game and the evening’s championship, a 41-25 loss to Shaquille O’Neal‘s OGs. The winning group included a trio of former Nets teammates in starters Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving.

Brunson and Towns return to action for the Knicks in Thursday’s 7:30 p.m. game against the Chicago Bulls. New York is 36-18 and third in the Eastern Conference.

A 7 p.m. tip-off Friday at the 44-10 Cavaliers also looms.
