Chase Holtzapple had a Saturday to remember on the golf course.
Holtzapple, a junior on the Granville boys golf team, made a hole-in-one on No. 4 at The Links at Echo Springs during Olentangy’s Steve Youman Classic. It was a part of a team-best 77 for Holtzapple, who tied for 11th in the individual standings.
Holtzapple, who started on No. 7, previously recorded a birdie on No. 16. He continued a strong start to the season after recording a 74 on Friday at Denison Golf Club against Newark Catholic and Mount Vernon.
Alex Organ followed Saturday with 80, Brogan Burgett 85 and Todd Dao 94 for the Blue Aces, who shot 336, tying for 11th as a team with Watkins Memorial.
Christian Cave shot 81, Hunter Black 82, Kaden Ross 83 and Adler McClintock 90 for the Warriors.
