Florida State football added a surprise commitment to its 2025 recruiting class.
Rock Hill High School (South Carolina) product Malik Clark was heavily expected to commit to the University of South Carolina during his Thursday afternoon commitment ceremony, but in a last-second turn, the 4-star wide receiver chose the Seminoles.
Clark is a speedy wideout who stands 6-foot-2 inches and is a top-25 receiver in the class of 2025 according to 247Sports.
In his junior season at Rock Hill High School, Clark posted 800 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He also placed third at the South Carolina 5A state track meet and won the 5A upper state title in the 100-meter dash.
Clark joins 4-star receiver Daylan McCutcheon (Lovejoy, Lucas, Texas) and 4-star receiver CJ Wiley (Milton, Alpharetta, Georgia) in committing to the Seminoles.
He is the 13th player in the class of 2025 to commit to FSU, earning the Seminoles a 17th-ranked recruiting class by 247Sports.
