Arkansas football picked up its 19th commit of the 2025 recruiting cycle Saturday, snagging the pledge of four-star defensive lineman Reginald Vaughn.
The 6-foot-2, 257-pound prospect out of Mississippi chose the Razorbacks over SEC rivals LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss, announcing his decision on Instagram.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Vaughn is the fourth-highest ranked recruit in Arkansas’ 2025 class. He is the No. 44 defensive lineman and the No. 398 overall player in the country. He took a visit to Fayetteville on June 21.
Vaughn primarily played defensive end for Hartfield Academy in 2023, but he could move inside at the college level. He registered 80 tackles, 20 tackles for loss and 10 sacks during his junior season.
Vaughn is the third defensive lineman to commit to the Hogs this cycle, joining Caleb Bell and JaQuentin Madision, who both hail from Alpharetta, Ga. Vaughn is Sam Pittman’s fourth four-star commit for the 2025 class. The other four-star prospects are linebacker Tavion Wallace, offensive tackle Connor Howes and quarterback Grayson Wilson.
In addition to his four finalists, Vaughn also held offers from Georgia, Tennessee and Florida.
Vaughn is the second high school prospect to commit to Arkansas in as many days. Three-star offensive lineman Lionel Prudhomme announced his pledge to the Razorbacks Friday afternoon.
Prudhomme hails from Captain Shreve High School in Louisiana and chose the Hogs over Mississippi State, marking a recruiting win for Arkansas against former offensive line coach Cody Kennedy.
Pittman shared some insight on his recruiting strategy last week at SEC Media Days, saying Arkansas typically tries to have 20 recruits signed in every high school class. With Vaughn on board, the Hogs need just two more commits to reach that threshold after only signing 17 high school recruits in the most recent cycle.
Vaughn’s commitment comes before what figures to be a crucial season for Pittman. After posting a 9-4 record in 2021, his second season with the Razorbacks, Pittman’s teams have gone 11-14 over the past two seasons, including a 4-8 mark in 2023.
