In the weeks leading up to UFC 306, Dana White professed over and over that the event, also known as Noche UFC and taking place on Mexican Independence Day weekend, would be “a love letter to the Mexican people.”
Nobody knew exactly what that meant until fight week, when White revealed that UFC 306 would feature an immersive movie on the giant LED screen inside the Las Vegas Sphere. The short film, titled “For Mexico, For All Time,” played in six chapters during the pay-per-view main card, telling the history of Mexico as narrated by Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal.
By and large, the UFC pulled off a one-of-a-kind sporting event for those in attendance at Sphere, which also translated well on TV. You can watch the film by individual chapters in the YouTube videos below.
Chapter 1: In the Beginning
Chapter 2: Early Civiliazations
Chapter 3: Rituals and Traditions
Chapter 4: Battle for Independence
Chapter 5: Fighters and Heroes
Chapter 6: Mexico Today and Tomorrow
