ESPN’s Cole Cubelic ranks Texas offensive line among the three best in the SEC


Recently ESPN college football analyst Cole Cubelic ranked his top offensive line units in the new-look SEC. The Texas Longhorns were among that group.

Only the LSU Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs were ahead of the Horns on the list. The Missouri Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers rounded out the top five.

“Texas has a first-round draft pick at offensive tackle, all five starters back, two reserves that have played,” Cubelic stated.

He is partly right, four of five starters will be back this upcoming season. Christian Jones is gone from last year’s team and Cam Williams is ready to slide into that spot.

Last season Williams appeared in seven games and played 125 snaps at right tackle. Along with Kelvin Banks Jr., Jake Majors, Hayden Conner, and DJ Campbell, this group should be a unit to watch to challenge for the Joe Moore Award. The Joe Moore Award is given to the best offensive line in the country.
