Weather impacts the British Open more than any tournament and it’s not even a close second, whether you’re dealing with sideways rain or howling wind.

Players have to fight all kinds of elements when they come to the British Open.

And this week has been no exception, guys like Rory mcilroy Bryson Dembe got basically blown off the course on Thursday and Friday and that’s why they went home early, Shane Lowry on the other hand, was in the favorable side of the draw and that’s why he’s leaving the tournament coming into Saturday.

Then on Saturday, he saw something he definitely did not want to see which was really benign conditions for the opening, uh, draw for the morning part of the tournament.

And a num number of players were able to take advantage of that guys like Adam Scott Justin Thomas shot really well, the lowest round went to th Briston Lawrence might not be a familiar name to too many American golf fans, but he worked his way all the way up to minus three, just a few strokes off Lowry’s lead we’ll have to see over the course of the rest of the tournament.

How this weather plays out, rain has been rolling in, could be just as bad on Sunday, but there was a brief window of good news and a few people took advantage of it.

We’ll see how the rest of the tournament turns out.
