The top recruit in the 2026 class in Oklahoma high school football has made his college decision.
Durant edge rusher Colton Yarbrough announced his commitment to Arkansas on Saturday.
Listed at 6-foot-5, 242 pounds, Yarbrough is a four-star prospect and listed at No. 1 in Oklahoma in his class, according to 247Sports.
He announced his top five on Wednesday, a list that included Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, LSU and Oklahoma State.
Yarsbrough is one of several standouts from the state to commit to Arkansas in recent years, joining players like former Bixby tight end Luke Hasz, who was No. 1 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 list of the state’s top recruits in the 2023 class, and former Southmoore kicker Cameron Little, who is now with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Arkansas has Oklahoma ties as head coach Sam Pittman is a Grove alum and coached at Beggs and OU.
He’s the second player from Durant in recent years to commit to a Power Four school.
In May 2023, defensive lineman Xadavien Sims committed to Oregon ahead of his senior season. Sims was ranked No. 2 in The Oklahoman’s final Super 30 rankings for the 2024 class.
Both Yarbrough and Sims announced their commitments at C4 Sports Performance & Fitness in Durant, which is run by Sean Cooper and has become one of the main training homes for top-tier Oklahoma high school football recruits.
