Chelsea and Napoli are reportedly in talks to see their strikers swap this summer.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein claims that Romelu Lukaku – who is contracted to Chelsea despite spending the past two season on loan – is keen on a permanent move away from west London ahead of the new campaign.
Lukaku has been on loan to Inter and Roma over the past couple of seasons but wants to join Napoli on a permanent deal and reunite with Antonio Conte, having worked with him at San Siro.
Going in the opposite direction would be Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, who would initially head to Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
Osimhen was instrumental in Napoli winning the title back in 2022/23 but struggled last term as they put up the worst title defence in Serie A history.
Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move away from the club over the past two transfer windows, with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain also believed to be keen on his services.
