The former head coach of the Gibraltar Women’s team, Adrian Parral, has been appointed manager of Billericay Town Women.

Parral had a three-year spell in charge of the island’s national team, which ended in 2018, and was most recently manager of men’s side, Lions Gibraltar FC, before parting company with them last month.

Billericay play in the third-tier Women’s National League Southern Premier and finished 10th last season, leading to the departure of former manager James Gibson.

“Adrian signs in a full-time position with the aim of building the club to challenge for a Championship place over the next three years,” Billericay posted on X, formerly Twitter.

They will start the new campaign with a home game against Gawlia United on 18 August.
