Dublin Jerome senior Alexa Prettyman birdied two of her last three holes Wednesday, erasing some early struggles to finish with a 1-over par 73 and 1-under par 215 for the entirety of the three-day Girls High School Golf National Invitational in suburban Dallas.
Prettyman tied for 31st place, was one of only 32 participants in the 208-girl field to finish under par and led all 10 Ohioans in the event.
She shot 1-under 71 each of the first two days, leading the Celtics to a 29-over par 893 and ninth place out of 31 teams.

Teammates Mia Ringger and Ellie Ryu tied for 57th (223), followed by Addie Yarbrough (tied for 104th, 232) and Medha Pothuru (tied for 142nd, 248).
Prettyman and Ryu are entering their senior season for the defending Division I state champions. Pothuru, Ringger and Yarbrough graduated in the spring.
Led by sophomore Eva Lim’s tie for 46th place (220), Columbus Academy tied for 18th (960).
Senior Caroline Zeiger (tied for 70th, 226), recent graduates Angela Hu (tied for 133rd, 244) and Sydney Fortney (tied for 176th, 270) and sophomore Rosemary Jenkins (tied for 197th, 295) rounded out the Vikings, last year’s Division II state champions.
Competition rotated between three courses — Fields Ranch West Golf Course in Frisco, Gentle Creek Country Club in Prosper and WestRidge Golf Course in McKinney.
Championship teams from every state were eligible to compete.

Rancho Santa Margarita (California) Catholic breezed to the team championship, leading from start to finish and winning by 39 shots (55 under-par 809).
Olivia Hung, a 15-year-old from Taiwan competing as an independent, and Santa Margarita Catholic’s Leigh Chien tied for the individual title (199). Hung shot a 62 Wednesday after being ninth entering the day.
