After missing from the first two days of preseason camp, Alabama football defensive lineman LT Overton was back at the Crimson Tide‘s practice on Saturday morning. It marks Overton’s debut ahead of the 2024 season.
The junior joined the Crimson Tide this spring, being the first transfer in the 2024 cycle for then-coach Nick Saban. Overton, a former five-star prospect from Milton, Georgia, who transferred from Texas A&M, will be competing with Jah’Marien Latham for the Bandit spot along Alabama’s defensive line. He played in 23 games with the Aggies and recorded 48 total tackles, three for loss, along with one sack.
Defensive coordinator Kane Wommack was asked about Overton and his absence after the second day of fall camp, telling the media Thursday: “He is not feeling well right now. I think he will be back in a day or two.”
Alabama completed its third of 20 preseason practices on Saturday morning. It kicks off its 2024 season on Aug. 31 when it hosts Western Kentucky.
