Yann Bisseck is the favourite over Matteo Darmian to start in defense for Inter Milan against Lazio in Serie A tomorrow.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is running out of options in defense.
Two regular starters from the back three are currently absent through injury.
Both of Benjamin Pavard and Francesco Acerbi are currently out with thigh strains.
Therefore, Inzaghi has to work around these absences.
Against both Parma in Serie A and Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, Inter started with a back three of Alessandro Bastoni, Stefan de Vrij, and Yann Bisseck.
Bisseck Favourite Over Darmian To Start For Inter Vs Lazio
Against Lazio tomorrow, Inter will have a massive test of their Serie A title credentials.
The two sides are level on points going into the match, albeit with the Nerazzurri having a game in hand on the Biancocelesti.
Naturally, it won’t exactly be ideal to start the same back three as from the last couple matches, considering the risk of fatigue.
However, Inzaghi doesn’t have too many options.
One would be to slot Matteo Darmian into the back three. The veteran former Manchester United and Torino defender can play in that position.
And according to Sky, Inzaghi has given some consideration to starting Darmian there.
But the broadcaster reports that the Inter coach is still favouring starting Bisseck for the third match in a week.
