Paolo Vanoli has dropped Scotland international Che Adams back to the bench for Friday evening’s Serie A match away against Empoli, who go with a sole centre-forward in Lorenzo Colombo up front.
Tonight’s game kicks off at 19.45 GMT.
Empoli are currently three points and two positions above their visitors in the Serie A table before kick-off. Roberto D’Aversa’s side strengthened their position in the league standings with a 4-1 win away against Hellas Verona last time out.
Though Torino had led the table in the early stages of the 2024-25 season, they currently find themselves in 12th position after a miserable run of form over the autumn and early winter period.
Colombo, who replaces Pietro Pellegri up front for Udinese, is D’Aversa’s only change to the starting line-up.
Vanoli, meanwhile, has made two changes to his starting line-up following his side’s 0-0 draw with Genoa last time out. Adams and Mergim Vojvoda drop out.
Empoli (3-4-2-1): Vasquez; Goglichidze, Ismajli, Viti; Gyasi, Anjorin, Maleh, Pezzella; Esposito, Cacace; Colombo.
Torino (3-5-2): Milinkovic Savic; Walukiewicz, Coco, Masina; Pedersen, Linetty, Ricci, Gineitis, Sosa; Karamoh, Sanabria.
