It was a tough two-month period in June and July for Lincoln Riley and USC football‘s 2025 recruiting class. The Trojans lost out on Justus Terry, Isiah Gibson and Hylton Stubbs.

Four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte did announce that he was flipping his commitment from Georgia to the Trojans, which helped the USC class. The highlight of the class, Julian Lewis, has not flipped as some predicted — at least not yet.

With USC currently ranked No. 18 in the 2025 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, we are looking into guys who could possibly help the class rise to the top 10. Let’s take a look:

1. Aidan Anding

The 5-foot-11, 160-pound cornerback is rated No. 2 in the state of Louisiana at his poistion and would be a big land for the Trojans. He was offered earlier this week.

On3, 247Sports, and ESPN rank Anding as a top 15 player in the state of Louisiana. The 247Sports Composite rankings slot him as the No. 578 recruit in the country. On3 is the most bullish, ranking Anding as the No. 31 overall cornerback.

The On3 Prediction Machine has Texas and The LSUTigersWire as the favorites to land the Louisiana native.

2. Kevin Oatis

Hattiesburg four-star Kevin Oatis is one of Mississippi‘s top recruits, the incoming senior is 6’2 and 285 pounds and one of the strongest prep stars in the state.

He was Mississippi 6A champ in the shot put as a junior with a 49-9 effort. Also threw a personal-best 110-3 in the discus that season and posted a 1,410-pound total (575 deadlift, 550 squat and 285 bench).

Oatis is projected to go to Mississppi State, but Eric Henderson and the Trojans’ staff have been recuiting him heavily.

3. Sharlandiin Strange

Strange is an edge rusher from Pennsylvania who was Syracuse’s first commit this cycle but dediced to reopen his recruitment in June.

Strange was the only four-star recruit committed to Syracuse in the Class of 2025 and was the first player to commit to the Orange in the class.

Strange is ranked as the No. 395 prospect in the country and the No. 13 player in Pennsylvania by 247 Sports composite rankings. Among the four major recruiting websites, he was ranked as high as No. 11 in Pennsylvania by Rivals.

He also holds offers from Boston College, Colorado, Virginia Tech, Illinois and Penn State

4. Robert Santiago

De La Salle High School three-star safety Robert Santiago from Concorde (Calif.) has been one of the most consistent defenive backs in the state of California and could turn into one of the best safeties in the nation.

He finished his sophmore season with 41 tackles and 3 interceptions, including one touchdown.

Santiago currently also holds offers from Washington, Miami, Cal, Oklahoma, Oregon, California and Arizona. Santiago could be offered by USC very soon.

5. Dilan Battle

Mansfield (Texas) Timberview three-star defensive tackle Dilan Battle committed to Texas A&M back in April but has backed off that pledge.

The Texas native has a list that now includes: favorite SMU, USC, LSU, TCU, Arkansas and Cal.

The 6’3 300-pound prospect would help fill one of USC’s biggest needs for the class of 2025 – defensive line

Battle finished his junior season with 27 tackles, 8 TFL, 4 sacks, and 1 forced fumble.
