Aug. 2—Whitestown’s Mac Myers played in the 48th annual Junior PGA Championship this week at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.
The event is one of the top Junior golf tournaments in the country.
Myers missed the cut of the event that was made after two rounds.
A tough start to the tournament cost him a chance to compete in round 3.
He fired an 82 in the opening round on the Blue Course.
Myers had a birdie, eight pars, seven bogeys and two doubles in the round.
He bounced back in round two, shooting a 72 on the Gold Course.
He had three birdies, four bogeys and 11 pars on the Par-71 course.
Myers is a rising freshman who will attend Zionsville.
