With the 2024 college football season just weeks away, the 2025 recruiting cycle will begin to wrap up as some of the top uncommitted prospects in the class will announce their commitments in the coming months, including 5-star safety Jonah Williams, who remains one of Texas A&M’s high priority targets after losing 5-star safety Trey McNutt to the Oregon Ducks.
With the SEC officially expanding to 16 teams after Texas and Oklahoma joined last month, the recruiting trail continues to run through the conference as On3’s 2025 recruiting rankings recently broke down their blue-chip prospect values for every SEC program, using a basic formula of the total amount of 4 and 5-star prospects committed to each school.
So far, Texas A&M’s 10th-ranked recruiting class is extremely impressive ahead of Mike Elko’s first season as the program’s head coach, already matching what former head coach Jimbo Fisher accomplished during his first two seasons with the Aggies.
