According to the East-West Shrine Bowl, roughly 1000 all-star game-eligible players are drafted, signed after the draft, or attend a rookie mini-camp. In listing prospects for the next game set for Jan, 30, 2025 in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium, 10 Cincinnati Bearcats were included.
The Shrine Bowl 1000 scouting process previews college players who are all-star game-eligible for the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl and 2024 NFL Draft class. The players are led by NFL coaches in an NFL stadium and have access to resources and opportunities of an NFL level.

A possible miss here by the bowl is 6-foot-7, 212-pound punter Mason Fletcher who is ranked as one of the better available booters despite dealing with a groin injury last season. He still averaged 43.0 per punt and the previous year was a Ray Guy Award finalist. In the bullpen, his brother Max Fletcher from Arkansas awaits having averaged a robust 46.9 yards for the Razorbacks last season.
How does UC rate among Big 12 schools?
The Bearcats are about in the middle of the pack. TCU, despite a preseason No. 10 ranking by Big 12 media has 17 on the Shrine Bowl list. Preseason No. 1 has 12, as does Oklahoma State, Colorado and Baylor. Kansas, Kansas State, West Virginia and UCF check in with 11 players, while the Bearcats have 10.
Those below the Bearcats are BYU, Iowa State and Texas Tech (9 apiece), Arizona State (6) and Houston (5).
