Wolves striker Matheus Cunha has been ruled out of the rest of their USA tour after suffering a hamstring injury.
It is of greater concern where the former Atlético de Madrid forward is concerned, given the serious hamstring issue he suffered last season.
Cunha made it just 30 minutes into his side’s clash with West Ham at the weekend, and even opened the scoring, before exiting.
“He felt a slight pain low down in his hamstring and he’s had a scan,” head coach Gary O’Neil told the Express and Star’s podcast.
“The damage isn’t big. It’s only a small bit but it is in an area where it can reoccur so we have to manage it carefully.
“I don’t envisage him being out long but he won’t play again on this trip because there’s no need to risk him.”
The 25-year-old scored 14 goals in all appearances for Wolves last season.
