West Ham are reportedly close to securing the signature of Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui.
That is according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, who has provided a comprehensive update of the saga to sign the right-back this summer.
The Hammers have agreed a deal with Bayern Munich worth €15.5m with another €4m potentially available through bonuses.
Manchester United were keen on the Moroccan and remain so but their pursuit of the player has been complicated by Aaron Wan-Bissaka‘s situation.
Any deal for Mazraoui was dependent on his departure and West Ham themselves had previously shown an interest but he favoured a switch to Italian champions Inter.
Even that move is unlikely to transpire now with the Nerazzurri instead focusing on tying Denzel Dumfries down to a long-term extension.
In a bid to assist all parties, a potential Wan-Bissaka and Dumfries swap deal has been proposed by agents, although those discussions are not at an advanced stage.
