Everton have agreed a deal in principle to sign Lyon defender Jake O’Brien, with a medical to take place over the weekend, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Toffees are now in talks over personal terms with the 23-year-old defender, with a five year contract having been offered to the centre-back.
Despite only arriving at Lyon 12 months ago from Crystal Palace, O’Brien was a hit in Ligue 1, making 27 appearances and scoring four goals to help his side into 6th place in the table.
