Brighton are reportedly ‘finalising a deal’ to sign upcoming Inter Miami star Diego Gómez, according to Tom Bogert for GiveMeSport.
The Paraguayan has been in fine form for the Herons this season despite an ankle injury that forced him out for nearly two months, scoring three goals and providing six assists in 12 MLS games.
According to the reports, Gómez will remain with Miami through the winter before making the move to the Premier League for a fee of nearly $18 million — one of the most expensive outbound transfers in MLS history.
The 21-year-old currently has two assists in two appearances with Paraguay at the Olympic Games.
