🚨 Bayern Munich hold off Tottenham comeback to win in Seoul

Scorers: Vidovic 4′, Goretzka 56′: Porro 65′

A strong Tottenham side fell to defeat against Bavarian giants Bayern Munich in the final game of their South Korea tour.

Ange Postecoglou’s side, which saw much of his first choice XI fielded, fell behind after just four minutes after a mix up at the back involving Gianluca Vicario and Djed Spence allowed Bayern to pounce.

Winning the ball back, it eventually fell the way of Gabriel Vidovic after Serge Gnabry had his effort saved, with the youngster firing through the legs of Vicario.

The first half continued in much the same vein, with Bayern dominating proceedings and unlucky not to be further ahead heading into the interval, while Tottenham failed to test Manuel Neuer at the other end.

Both sides made changes at the break (six for Bayern and three for Postecoglou’s side), and Spurs began it brightly. But they fell further behind 10 minutes in as Leon Goretzka was handed a second chance to fire past Vicario after fluffing his lines initially and duly doubled Bayern’s lead against a visibly tired Spurs.

The north London side rallied though, and pulled one back courtesy of a vicious effort from standout performer Pedro Porro, who thumped the ball home from outside the Bayern box to reduce the deficit to one.

And Spurs continued to press on to level the game, with Lucas Bergvall impressing in midfield as they hunted for an equaliser in an improved showing.

But they couldn’t find one in the closing stages, and ultimately ended their tour in defeat.
